I arrived at camp early Tuesday morning to find more sabotage & theft.
A glove was stolen from the winter tent. There was minor sabotage to the winter sleeping platform (a rafter was untied & hanging from the ridgepole).
Before I left on Saturday morning I placed a branch barricade in front of both shelters. As a further deterrent, I tied the zipper & toggle doors on both shelters. They removed the barricades & undid the ties. After the disruption they put the barricades back & tied up the shelters.
Things could have been much worse. More expensive items could have been stolen & the shelters could have been ruined.
Still, I'm being kicked out.
On the 27th I started moving my items to another spot that's about a quarter mile from the one that I'm leaving. If the sabotage & theft follow me to this zone then I'll have to move again. Currently, I'm mapping out woodland places in the area, in case this happens.
